Some time ago, I saw a very intersting nest. Does anybody know what kind of bird that it? The small birds were also hard to tell what they were.

Of course, major changes are made by a beaver. It is easy to see them after some times. They get used to your presence and don't worry about anything.

Another day and people. This time Austrian citizen came to stay overnight at Zielone Wzgorze. When our dogs were playing on the yard we chatted for a while. It seems that he looks for his roots as his family lived here over a half of century ago. Poland attracted him over a decade ago as he moved to Torun where he started his business with his inheritance. However, he went bust but now he's living with his pension. Obviously, he's doing fine as our prices are much lower in comparison to those in the West. I like the way he called our place: the heaven.

His dream: a house with a yard.

Just a few hours ago, I did some shopping in Budry. The woman ahead of me asked the shop assistant if she can do shopping with a delayed payment as she'll have money on 25th May. Somehow, it's just frustrating when I hear that major of our small municipality earns 6 times the average pay in our region and, at the same time, many people can afford doing grocery shopping.

First of all, my blog is about life and prospects for the future for a small village/region in a far north-east Poland, Europe. It is indeed a very special place, hardly changed by people, lost, forgotten but absolutely beautiful. Fresh air, pure nature, birds, forests and hardly any people. Something unique, especially in Europe where population is growing fast. Welcome to Budry and its surroundings.
